I’m a painter and photographer. I’m currently kicking off a series of body as landscape. Most of my work is printed in alternative photographic processes and sometimes combines etching or drawing directly on the print or negative. As I’m starting back up after a significant hiatus I’m a little more methodical (slow).

Typically I’ll sketch out the poses I’m looking for so we both know what to expect ahead of time. That means I’m thinking about a specific person while I pre-visualize. I will do portraits but only after getting to know someone at least over coffee. In other words the model is a unique person to me and that perspective and collaboration is reflected in my imagery.

Primarily I use film cameras and require very large negatives to print. If you are interested in TFP keep in mind my work can be extremely labor and time intensive. Digital reproductions can be made but a lot gets lost in the translation.
