Hi, I'm David.

A professional photojournalist for over 20 years, (most recently as a staff photographer for 10 years with The Baltimore Sun) I also publish Strobist.com, the world's leading site for photographers who wish to learn how to use flash better.

Which means that I am always shooting in the Baltimore/Washington area. I am always looking for models - male and female - who may wish to take part on a TFP or TFCD basis. All of our work centers around educating other photographers about the lighting, so we are pretty flexible.

Since our subject matter is basically up to us, we can work with you if there are specific styles or types of images you would like to add to your portfolio.

If you would like to do a TFCD shoot, you should have an idea of a concept for the photo (i.e., what kind of a "look" are you going after) and a location in mind. I can travel -- my schedule is my own -- and look forward to producing high-end stuff with you.

I sometimes have a very heavy travel schedule, and may be out of the region (or the country) for a couple weeks at a time. But I always come back. So be patient!

Lots of experience is not necessary, but a fun and experimental attitude *is* necessary. If you are one of those hot-shot divas who think they God's gift to the world, please inquire elsewhere. Real people are more fun.

Chaparones are fine (encouraged, actually - we may put them to work, too!) and we generally shoot in the Baltimore, MD area.
