I recently retired from a very fulfilling career as an aerospace scientist and started devoting a lot more time to photography. I’ve been very interested in photography, since the first appearance of digital cameras, but never had time to pursue it until my retirement. As evident on my web site, glcphoto.com, I have mostly concentrated on landscapes and cityscapes, but I am starting to do some portraiture, as well. I’m not a professional photographer, but I would classify myself as a very advanced amateur. Since I don’t know how far I’ll be going with portraiture, I haven’t set up a studio – so, when I hire models, it will be for location shoots. I joined Model Mayhem, so that, when I find a great location for a shoot, I will have the opportunity to find a suitable local model.
