I'm kind of an artsy fartsy photographer looking to break into more of the mainstream.  I specialize in some abstract photography, but I suppose due to the lack of subjects, photojournalism ranks high on my proficiency list.  I've just recently ventured into human portraiture and self-portraiture.  My goals are simple, to learn a great deal and network with other photographers, models and associated support people to really get my hands on what it takes to be a successful photographer.  Over time I'd like to get some space and build a small studio to do dedicated studio shots.  As of right now I really prefer on location or out doors.
