In 1981, James Fojt began his career as a hair designer in Houston, Texas, after studying French cutting and styling techniques that focus on creating full, soft and natural lines.  Quickly James gained recognition for his artistry and won opportunities to work on photo shoots for luxury department stores, such as Foley’s and Saks 5th Avenue, and fashion shows for Betsey Johnson and other designers during New York’s Fashion Week.
      James’ Houston success brought him national recognition and caught the eye of Hollywood.  James quickly added to his list of faithful, local clientele, actors from the stage, television and film and Grammy award winning recording artists. In addition, James’ work has been featured in fashion trend magazines, such as M Magazine, 002 and Gloss, and The Learning Channel’s reality television show Makeover Story.
     Prior to his current role at José Eber, James styled at the renowned salon named after one of the leaders in French cutting techniques, Jacques Dessange-Houston, and then served as both owner and Artistic Director for Jacques Dessange-Austin.  James joined José Eber’s styling team located in Houston in 2005, and maintains clientele at the José Eber Salon located on Hollywood’s famous Rodeo Drive one week out of each month.
     While not on road or with clients, James makes his home in Houston, Texas, with his supportive wife, Cristy, nine-year-old son, Evan and four-year-old daughter, Ava.
