About Me

I have been a photographer for the past 38 years and have recently retired from full time work. I remain a contract photographer for Volvo Powertrains North America and Muck Studios. Occasionally, I get some work from our local newspaper.

About 10 years ago I had access to a local studio on weekends and had a lot of fun working with aspiring models. Then the site was sold and this "fun work" mostly stopped. I continue to use a room in my house that is large enough to work with rolls of paper and fabric backgrounds. I never photograph a subject in my home unless my wife or another person is present.

I don't work for free but my rates are reasonable. My first question to a perspective client is what do you want? Next, why do you want it, where do you want to go with it?  This allows me to clearly understand the clients objectives.

My goal is to produce great pictures and please the client. I just turned down a well paying job to shoot a panorama of 250 people. The location was not suitable to produce a very nice image and I told the client to find someone else.

Perhaps modelmayhem may produce some fun collaborations with aspiring models.
