Alexandra Jean Pierre a native of Queens, New York. She is a Makeup Artist and has been working as a Freelance Make up artist in New York for about 6 years. As a child, Alexandra loved to draw, paint and play with her mother's makeup. After high school she would always stop at the makeup counters and purchase a few items. Alexandra would always take some time out everyday to teach her self how to apply makeup she would also use her friends as dummies to see what techniques work and which one didn’t work. What colors worked on dark skinned women and what colors didn’t work.


Her skills have brought her many unique jobs which include working with UrbanRoom.com, John Perry Model Club, Taj the photographer, Matthew Swader, Terrell Belin, Erick Hason, SK Wilber, Frank Antoinio and many more. She created her own technique that definitely shows her style and amazing workmanship in all of her works of art.


As a dark complexion African American Woman, and a consumer, I know first hand that it is hard to find the right cosmetics and artist without searching high and low and spending a lot of money on finding the right shade. As a freelance artist, I know how African American Women are puzzled by the lack of education to apply make up on African American (Purple and Red lipstick gotta go) . It’s basically all about shadows and light. There is a science to that which Alexandra has knowledge on, and with this site she hopes to fill that void for the African American community and all communities.


The most important element of Alexandra’s work is to be able to use her creativity to enhance natural beauty yet bring out a person's inner beauty and individuality.
