Artist Statement

Jojo Cayetano is a visual artist, photographer, and storyteller based in San Francisco Bay Area. He likes to create dark and moody images based on "redemption." He loves to capture moments with narrative and documentary elements. He chose a cinematic style to better establish the story that each image wants to tell, that is, an interaction between people and their environment and their personal story. His art is a journey of self-discovery and self-expression.

As a fine art photographer and someone who has admired other photographer’s photos, I have often pondered what makes someone buy a piece of art to hang on their wall. Trying to answer that question helps me create meaningful work and sharpen my creative vision. Lately, I have fallen in love with narrative photography.

Every single subject that steps in front of my camera is beautiful. Every single one. My job is to help the you appreciate and to showcase your beauty.
