I also shoot a lot of snake photos, most of which are off the cuff and semi-candid; see @satchelthepython. If you want to do a shoot with a snake, I have to be convinced you're not going to do anything harmful to the snake. So does the snake. The converse is not necessarily true - you are accepting the risk of getting bitten. Satchel is extremely docile and has never bitten anyone else in the 7 years I've owned him, but no guarantees - you may be the first.
