VESTHOLM create fine-art photography and conceptual portraits. Drawn to moods and aesthetics, I have a clear, observant and detail-oriented approach to the visual form and a passion for visual narrative.

The photograph subjectively defines a moment, and I'm greatly
fascinated by the exciting dissemination possibilities that hide in this form of
expression.

Throughout my work, there are signs of the absurd and dreamy, and I
consciously try to challenge the observer's subconscious mind. In my aim for
purity and balance I try to implement a touch of irrationality and elementary opposites. Realism is found in my pictures, but trivial and everyday situations assume a surreal form, by the use of theatrical imagery.

For me, one of the most important and fascinating ingredients in photography,
is storytelling and therefore my pictures contain clearly narrative elements.
The stories revolve around the encounter between gender, cultural and
social norms, as well as the dreaming subconscious of fantasy.

I want to portray human complexity and often I choose well-known role
types as visual intermediaries.
