My name is Melissa Martin and I am a fitness model and bikini athlete!
My passion is health and fitness and in particular I love lifting weights.

The fitness industry has changed my life and I want to inspire others to live a positive and healthy lifestyle. Although I strive to target all audiences, my primary motivation is to inspire other women to get active. For instance, I believe that fitness is good for self-esteem and it can be empowering of women. I tell people all the time that it's never too late to get into shape. I am living proof of this as I am 40 years old!

I have also been inspiring people to use fitness as a means to promote positive mental health and well being. Breaking the stigma behind mental health has also been an ongoing campaign of mine and I hope through my passion and love of fitness that this will help to end the prejudges that mentally ill people face in our society.

Model Mayhem is a great forum to meet and network with others and I am excited to be a part of this community!
