About Me

Since I was a little girl, I have loved fashion and I blame Barbie as no matter how weird my life was I could sit on the floor of my room, put some fantasy clothing on my dolls and I was somewhere else. Fashion has always been an escape for me and something of fantasy and fun.

When I was hating my life at 27, working a horrible job and married to a horrible man, I enrolled into fashion classes in my local community college and my life was changed. I realized that the fun of fashion was being able to dream about a garment and actually create it in real life. It gave me confidence, t gave me purpose, and most of all it allowed me to be exactly who I wanted to be.

Over the next few years I found solace in my fashion course and created more and more piece using more fun fabric and pattern making manipulations with each new design. I took on greater responsibility within the program, starting a student club to produce the annual student fashion show as well as find more students for the program through student government.

I moved to Los Angeles and begin networking in the fashion and entertainment industries, was involved in a few fashion shows throughout the state, and finally felt I had focus for my life. That was until I found out my husband was cheating on me and I instead moved back to Fresno to be with family while I divorced the loser.

Fast track a few years and I am a 24/7 single mom with a 4yo gorgeous little girl working on my Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising which is giving me the final piece of the Fashion Industry puzzle. Now with my education in design, manufacturing and merchandising, I am updating my portfolio and seeking a job within the industry where I can really have my dream of being a Fashion Designer.

All through the years, it is the fantasy of the world that inspires me to design. I have designed lines based on fiction works like Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland, people like David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust and Prince, and history. Inspiration comes from some many places that I love being able to create some pieces that also have that element of fantasy. Whatever happens moving forward I have finally realized that I am a fashion designer and am proud of the portfolio of work I have from the last 15 years that I am finally sharing with the world.

I would love to be able to network with other designers, photographers, and models in the Central Valley, especially since we are so displaced being in the central valley over those more closely knit in the LA and SF areas.
