Hello! I am a London-based photographer (JonThePhotographer.co.uk) who loves getting creative and doing dramatic and elaborate shoots. I love shooting fire, performance artists, gymnasts, dancers, acrobats, actors/theatre characters, cosplay, etc. I love creating atmosphere in my photos with lighting and smoke and fire or simply an incredible location/backdrop. I like capturing dynamic poses and shots where there is a lot of action or movement.

I am a big fan of the beauty of the female form and I think this is evident in my portrait gallery in particular (https://tinyurl.com/yboh4odq). I love doing shoots that are sexy or elegant or graceful, especially if there is movement or the feel of movement involved. Things like long hair or light flowing clothing really add a sense of movement and dynamism to a photo. Sometimes there’s nothing I like more than taking a beautiful model out to a beautiful location and creating incredible art.

I also love special effects like smoke, fire, wire wool, pyrotechnics, flour, rain/water, paint, snow, etc and I am currently looking to experiment with special effects a lot more.

Lighting is very important to me and it can make or break a shot so I go to great lengths to get the best lighting in my shots, which sometimes means getting up at 4am in freezing conditions to catch a sunrise, or waiting for exactly the right weather conditions, or simply investing in versatile, powerful, and highly portable lighting equipment that lets me create beautiful lighting conditions in locations that don’t have easy access.

I consider myself more of an artist who is passionate about creativity than someone who is just a person with a camera who takes snapshots of things without much thought or emotion, and I would like to think that anyone who has worked with me would agree :)

I'm mostly looking for female models to do collaborative shoots with in London. Collaborative means we work together to create awesome art. No money is exchanged between us but we all come away with awesome photos that we can use in our portfolios or for self promotion or sell prints etc. Modelling experience isn't necessary but any special skills or anything extra you can bring to the table would be great, be they makeup, costume, dancing, fire performing, yoga, contortionism, jewellery, hair styling, props, ideas, etc.
