Alice in WastelandS and Handmaiden Weddings couture is deeply rooted in my past as working with theatre costumes and later on creating fiber art sculptures – working with such materials as animal gut, human hair, dye, silk fiber, metal wire, plastic, horsehair…

My biggest quality, both as an artist and now as a creator, is always pushing myself to cross lines, always twisting templates, always wanting to push the trends in another direction.

I find goth, steampunk and post apocalyptic fashion very fascinating, but when creating I can´t help mixing it all together in unique items. AND adding a bit of Alice in Wonderland whimsiness.

Handmaiden Weddings is about mixing wedding items with fiber art and adding a splash of color.

My many years' experience working as a fibre artist, mixing surfaces, textures, structures, colors together, has given me a unique way of working. I don´t decide to make a dress or a top or a skirt: I start out playing with fabrics, colors and structures not knowing where I´ll go.
Sometimes I get a design ready in 2 days, sometimes it takes weeks to reach the perfect expression.

I'm not earning a lot of money on my shops, it is a mixture of passion and profit;-)
