Hello, Ira Christmas is a skilled photographer whom has been published in a number of magazines and online a specialty blogs. His preferred work gravitates towards creating beauty in the ordinary through portrait and landscape art. Ira’s style is colorful, surreal, fanciful and painterly. Photographs by Ira have been displayed in local gallery exhibits from which two were selected to be added to a permanent collection in the Archive of Documentary Arts in Duke's Rubenstein Library. Ira has experience working alongside designers in Raleigh on creating a look book which was brought to Paris and New York for fashion week. One of his other favorite projects involved photographing healthcare heroes at the Washington Duke Hotel. Ira explains his work as the opportunity to help clients reframe and reimagine their realities. His portfolio can be described to contain raw human reality that focuses on soft but bold beauty, highlighting the natural power that can be found in this earth and the people that inhabit it.
