I've been through years of constant harassment, psychological torment stemming from a domestic abuse relationship, health conditions that most people don't develop until they are elders, and I'm still fighting to get visibility by the police and justice system - a corrupt and bought system no matter where you live.
Most writing majors who graduate college are left with thousands of dollars in debt and little to no job market. I have that, plus levels of emotional/mental/psychological baggage preventing me from getting to work, holding a steady job, and a steady relationship, amidst strained ties between family and friends.
