About Me

Francisco Gonzalez is an internationally published and exhibited photographer based in Miami, Florida. His work is focused on the study of human beings; exploring themes from migration and population to individuals and their emotions and conflicts, using his own experiences as a starting point. He analyzes, documents and studies his subjects during long periods of time, in order to gain better understanding. He works around the United States, Europe and South America to explore the past, the present and the future of society. Francisco received “Cum Laude” his BFA in Photography at The Savannah College of Art in Savannah, Georgia.

His photograph Expat, Bin from his newest series Expat has been awarded by Sarah Greenough, Senior Curator and Head of the department of photographs in the National Gallery of Art (2015). He was also recognized by Herman Miller as a finalist during their “Future of education video contest". In 2017 he received an O-1B Visa "Individuals with extraordinary abilities in the arts" from USCIS in recognition of his work and merits.

His work has been featured in magazines, galleries and newspapers throughout the globe including: The Photographic Journal, Aint-Bad Magazine, Miami New Times, The Real Deal, Diario El Nacional, DeFine Art, Multiple Exposures Gallery, Thomson Reuters sign in Times Squares, among others.

Francisco is currently working as a commercial photographer with clients that includes Aloft Hotels, University of Miami, Phillips, Ikea, Tripping Animals Brewery, Tecnoglass, Bloomsbury, Steven Kamali and others; as he continues to develop his career as an artist. He is represented by Curators Voice Art Projects in Miami, Florida.
