Imaginative photographer and writer experimenting with the potential of portraiture and ways of representing people of color in particular. I seek to celebrate the diversity of beauty while moving beyond objectification by revealing the deeper essence of my subjects.

I've had shots published, and most of my portfolio shots here reflect my prior, documentary-based work. I'm getting back to shooting after a long break and have a set of new artistic portrait concepts I'm looking forward to exploring with talented collaborators interested in trying fresh ideas and having a voice in the process.

My vision is built on authenticity. I'm not down with glossy retouching, heavy makeup, or representing women as if they were mannequins. I have my own studio (with both natural and controlled light), and one of my goals is to create a portrait series highlighting the beauty of black women to exhibit as a local art show sometime in 2018.
