I didn't choose to be a Hairstylist,it chose me. From a little girl I was always in my baby dolls hair. (Bratz to be specific).It was something that came very natural to me and I was good at it.My mom always took great care of my hair when I was younger,so when I was old enough to do it myself, I started to experiment with different styles and treatments and really educated myself to maintain the health of my hair, with numerous videos and trials and errors, lead me to go natural(relaxer free). Going through life, I didn't really think being a hairstylist was an actual career, so I had stoped doing hair for a period of time, just something to do for fun. My mom and dad used to always tell me I was going to go to hairschool after awhile, but I just would always just say "yeah,ok". I was in school studying to be a nurse mainly because of the "money" not really having a true passion for it. As a couple years went by, I hit a wall feeling really unhappy and unfulfilled. I finished the semester off and decided to stop and really think about what I wanted. It took a couple of months to open my eyes and realize that being a hairstylist was what I was meant to do but when it happened it was a lightbulb moment for me. I told my parents and they were supportive of my decision. I quickly applied to Cosmetology school the first chance I got and haven't looked back since, yes there are times when I'm unsure if this is what I'm meant to do,but there is always a little reminder of why I am doing this.As a newly licensed Cosmetologist, it's definitely bigger than hair for me.I know that there are endless opportunities in the beauty industry but most of all I want every client that sits in my chair to not only feel beautiful when they leave but to be educated on the services I give and for them to have an overall pleasant experience. As a hairstylist I want to be known for being an amazing hairstylist, technically and personably, specializing in healthy hair and my haircuts specifically short cuts, such as bobs and pixies but will be a well rounded hairstylist being able to complete any task at hand. I am so excited for what's in store with my career and looking forward to every opportunity that is given to me. Let me service you!
