I am a musician and became a photographer thru my touring gigs in France (I'm french native) and in the USA. I did a photoshoot 3 years ago on Jekyll Island, GA with a beautiful young lady of 16-y-old ... it became my 1st picture book with french prose that are translated by a british friend in English at this moment... Crowdfunding soon! This is my Allegory of Life, I titled it: " The Day Driftwood Lady Becomes Lady Liberty ". 48 B&W images with no special treatment but the study of the sunlight, seeking for the most natural pics with harmony or contrast. Out of any trend. Very personal view on what is the price of Freedom and Independence sometime... Our growth, our discovers, our mistakes, our purgatory, our rebirth...
Today I'm willing to photograph humans even more, especially after a long abstract colorful period since 6 years in between the book. My focus & exhibition's perspectives nowadays go for creating images with Black Women and colors (with flowers and more accessories) with 2 types of backgrounds, open and closed. I just believe there's a wonderful work to do in the idea of what has been done (I will just quote Grace Jones because she means a lot!) but in bringing my own vision of b e a u t y > surely something avant-garde and so bold...
I'm willing to celebrate Black Beauty and the delightful assets of a darker skin complexion, without forgetting these fantastic hair so well made for sculpturing them! My artistic goal is to create something rare, refined, 'afro-chic', glamour, colorful, fresh, precious to our eyes... No gothic or stuff like that, not my style. That will need make up and the artist! that's a damn challenge right here! (: There will be audio added for a next Art Show. I want the onlooker to hear her voice(s), and music will be integrated as well. Would you like to collaborate?
