I'm a lot of things but in the context of why I'm creating a MM account, I'll just present myself as a portrait photographer who's recently relocated from Chicago to Portland, OR and needing to build a new network of models and artists to create a new body of work for my digital and print portfolios.

I spent the last 10 years in Chicago shooting everything from fashion to (mostly) portraits of actors, comedians and some of today's top musicians. I also spent a considerable amount of time shooting rad concerts and festivals like Lollapalooza and Riot Fest. I worked at the legendary music television station, JBTV where I've had intimate portrait sessions with hundreds of today's top bands, which gave me the opportunity to refine my gift of connecting with people and earning trust very quickly.

My wife and I are in love with the outdoors and had wanted to move out West for the longest time, and after almost getting killed on my motorcycle last October in Chicago, we decided to just do it.

So here I am in this lovely new town without a network of creatives to create with. That's what I'm here to change. I'm need of new content for my portfolio and looking for trade work.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:

Portraits: I have a ton of portraits already but I'm not opposed to some more of that for models with very interesting / unique looks. I'm down with the studio and backdrops and all of that, but I'd be more interested in finding a cool location. Even just the corner of some dive bar with wood paneling walls and a juke box. We'll brainstorm together.

Outdoor and Adventure Lifestyle: Outdoors has been my jam all my life and I'm excited to finally be in a place where this type of work is plentiful. I want to create outdoor lifestyle shots mostly on-location (duh, OUTDOORS) but some studio green-screen compositing as well. Do you have an athletic style? Own any cool outdoor gear (skis, helmets, rope, backpacks, etc)? Let's create some scenarios and shots together for an outdoor lifestyle portfolio.

Movie Posters / Curious Situations: These are my favorite types of shots. I like to create one-scene photos that may look like a WTF scene in a movie with cinematic lighting. Scenes and situations that would make the viewer question WTF is happening and invoke different types of emotions about it. Something that could be used in advertising type shots.

Only looking for trade right now. I wish I could pay everyone for everything, but at the moment I'm hoping to work with other creatives that would really benefit from this type of work in their portfolios as well. I promise to make it all worth your time and give you some great material.
