Ever since I was a tall, skinny, and awkward pre-teen; it was always told to me by family, friends, and even strangers, that I should become a model.
At first, I never thought of modeling as something I could do. I started styling my own outfits and taking pictures of myself in them when I was around 18 years old in my freshman year of college. I was exploring my fashion choices and sooner or later, dressing up became one of my biggest hobbies. I like to dress up and down my outfits but still make it my style.

Once I discovered my own sense of fashion and style, I wanted to share it with my friends and peers. So I began posting more photos of my outfits, and slowly I started to become more creative with my photos. I started picking up different styles of posing, learning ways I could pose better, look better; any poses that could showcase my outfits in the best way possible.

Then, the creativity of the photography started to come through. I not only wanted to take a picture of my outfit, but I wanted to coordinate my outfits with certain themes. For example, if the outfit will look best with a certain location or surrounding in the background. Night shoots cause for more grunge-y looks, sunny days result in summer-y vibe looks, etc.

Before I realized it, I was "modeling." Unprofessionally and like an amateur. I don't want to be an amateur though. I never thought this hobby of mine could possibly be one of the only careers I want to start passionately. However, when I come to think of it; this hobby of mine is all I think about. I'm always thinking about how to style my next outfit, have my next photoshoot, and showcase what I am capable of. I used to see modeling as an unrealistic goal for me. But how could I say that if I've never even begun to try? So I am here to learn, gain experience, and giving it my best. I just want a chance, like everybody else!
