Q: What's your name and what do you like about modeling?

A:
Hi, I'm Shareef! I value art and perceive modeling & fitness as a form of self-expression. The human body is a canvas that can be painted, sculpted and transformed to express many thoughts and ideas! I wish to share and express my ever evolving canvas with the world around me and the many other artists that also use photographs to express themselves!

Q: What do you do for a living and how did you get into modeling?

A:
I am a Bodybuilder and a Fitness Coach! I've been personal training since 2011 and found this to be a passion of mine after committing to do a show/competition for the 1st time in November of 2010 and winning 1st place & Novice Overall at the show! I first experienced modeling in July of 2011 and LOVED IT!!! Modeling for me began when I met a casting director while working reception at a hotel. I had a look he was a looking for and that's how it started.

Q: What was your first photo shoot like for you... Were you nervous?

A:
My first shoot was a Swimwear & Erotic theme in a Rain Forest called El Yunque in San Juan, Puerto Rico! And Hell yes! I was definitely nervous haha! The experience felt exhilerating though, and the more we shot the more comfortable I got being uncomfortable.

Q: As difficult as the market can be, what makes you continue?

A:
That first first shoot made me fall in love with the modeling experience! It has always carried a place in my heart ever since. Anything that you have a passion for will never feel like work a day in your life. So even if you stray away from it for a moment of time to balance out other areas of life, make sure you network and make many connections so that you always are up-to-date with what's happening.

Q: Do you charge for shoots?

A:
I am open to both paid shoots and complementary portfolio builder shoots. Mainly if its An Erotic shoot it's $200/hr. I have some pics in the erotic department that I haven't shared on here that are fierce hahah! I still do PFT's as well it's just a matter of sharing with me what your intentions are and we can come up with an mutual agreement that meets both of our interests.
