I'm a wedding, lifestyle, and portrait photographer in Spokane, Washington, and am interested in working adding a variety of model shoots to my portfolio. I want to elevate my work to include subjects with experience in the modeling industry.

My interest in photography started way back in the 1980s with the Polaroid instant cameras. I remember the photos coming out of the little slot and waiting for them (impatiently) to dry as the film developed right before your eyes.

I've moved on now to shoot with a combination of DSLRs (Canon 5D line) and am trying out mirrorless (Fuji XT-2) with some pretty impressive results. While most of the jobs I currently advertise for are weddings and portraits (what I advertise for), I'd love to do some collaborative shoots with those interested in work as models.

I understand all aspects of posing, composition, and lighting very well, and want individuals in front of my camera who are comfortable and experienced with the lights and lens on them.

And finally, I believe it is extremely important to be up front with the talent I work with. That being said, if your talent and experience level dictates compensation for the shoot, here are the payment structures I offer:

(1) Hourly Rate - I will pay you per hour an agreed upon amount. In exchange, I receive full copyright to the images for portfolio and commercial use. This payment structure does not include release of images to you, the model.

(2) Selected Images - I will offer you images from the day's shoot, retouched as needed. The number of images will be specified in our written agreement. In exchange, I receive full copyright to the images for portfolio and commercial use. You may use the images you receive for your portfolio for print and electronic media, but may not use them for commercial use. I do not offer an hourly paid rate with this payment type.
