Maria Delehanty is a tri-state area based make-up artist specializing in beauty & special effects makeup.

From an early age, Maria was practically born into the world of theatrical arts. She followed the tradition of her older sisters and was part of a competitive dance team and performed onstage for most of her life. She had always enjoyed being backstage and preparing for a performance rather than being in the spotlight herself.

This captivation with the "behind the scenes chaos" is what enticed Maria to pursue a career in the makeup industry. She attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles where she gained knowledge in Beauty Industry Merchandising & Marketing. She quickly realized the corporate side was not for her and wanted something more hands-on. Maria moved back to New Jersey to attend Make-up Designory (MUD) and complete the Master's program. While studying there in New York City, Maria designed makeup for several beauty, fashion, and special effects photoshoots. She also designed a range of characters and avant garde looks. Maria has worked with several local New York and New Jersey based photographers capturing a variety of projects from headshots to experimental themed looks.

Maria looks forward to evolving her art and widening her range in the field of makeup. She continues to look for new opportunities and ways to intrigue others the same way she was as the eight year old girl watching from backstage.
