Mitzie is a visual artist creating imagery that focuses on the body landscape. Her work on intimate portraiture explores the complexity of body image and photography as a therapeutic expression of our relationship to self. She’s interested in finding moments of honesty and communication between our emotional and physical bodies, in revealing what we keep hidden. She draws inspiration from her clients and subjects, on where they connect in the moment, and from over a decade immersed in the world of bodies and body image as a Muscular Therapist.

Experience: It's been 21 years now, that I've been working in photography, from darkroom to digital. Diploma in Photography but learning every day with each new project and client.

Style: My tastes seem opposite in many ways - I love dark and moody images, something gritty and unexpected. I also love creating soft and feminine images with a vintage vibe for my Boudoir clients.

Goals: I've started a new side project creating a full deck of photographic Tarot cards. I'm here primarily to connect with potential models who would fit individual card concepts to complete the deck. I would also love to learn about more photographers' work and connect with other local project and jobs in my area.
