Thanks to everyone for visiting my profile page. I am new to MM, so go easy on me :)

I love the art of photography and have been making pictures of virtually every part of life since I was a teenager. As you can tell my portfolio is limited at this point, but I would be open to shoots of all kinds to broaden the number of images for both of us. I'm not paying models right now, but please message me on MM if you want to do some TFP/CD work that will help you and me.

Although I'm still fairly new as a professional photographer, my photographer's eye is very experienced and seasoned. I am drawn to images that are simple and honest, neat and clean, imaginative and thoughtful, colorful and creative, and that portray the essence of who the subject really is and what they are trying to communicate with their image.

I will look very closely at your images and do some light retouching to zits or blemishes of any kind in PhotoShop and LightRoom, to make your images beautiful. I prefer to photograph you as naturally as possible - so I want to bring out your very best in our shoot without altering what you look like in real life. I can help you find your most natural look, with or without makeup, and we will experiment with light and location to give you the results you are looking for. Planning is the key to making this happen.

Specializing in creative portraiture, I use daylight, artificial light using Rotolight LED lighting, and reflectors to redirect light when needed. I use a Canon DSLR camera and all professional "L" lenses.

Street photography brings in another element that can be fun and interesting, especially if you have a few "favorite" locations in Nashville in mind. There are many beautiful spots on our farm in middle Tennessee that can add an outdoor or country/barn type of look to your image. We can also talk about ideas you may have for fashion and glamor concepts you'd like to create. I am discerning and perceptive, and I will help you design your dream shoot.

You will come away with 4-6 beautifully edited, high-res images for each outfit you bring to wear for a TF shoot - more, if we work out other arrangements ahead of time.

Also, I have my camera gear with me almost all the time during the day and on the weekends. So if you're having an especially great hair and makeup day, and you have an idea for a spontaneous shoot somewhere in Nashville, it's possible I may be able to make it happen on short notice. It definitely won't hurt to ask :) And sometimes those kinds of shoots produce some of the most memorable experiences and the most relaxed-looking and comfortable, lighthearted images.

I have 4 children in their twenties, and 2 grandchildren aged 2 & 4. So I am comfortable and confident with any age. If you are a single mom and want to include your children in one of your shoots, I'd love to accommodate you.

My wife of almost 29 years frequently assists me, but not always...especially if it's a spontaneous shoot that's not planned with her schedule in mind. I do not touch models, so she is there for those situations where hair is out of place, or a strap is showing and needs to be fixed, etc., and she positions reflectors or lights when those are used. She has an excellent eye, and she may suggest something to make the particular shot even better.

So please feel free to request both of us if you'd like to and if that would make you feel more comfortable.

We certainly do not mind you bringing an escort with you, as long as he/she does not interfere with the shoot or become a distraction for you. In our experience, anyone present besides you and me (and my wife) has the tendency to add more tension to the setting. And as you probably already know, THE CAMERA SEES EVERYTHING. If you're stressed or distracted, it will show in your images.

I shoot in the middle Tennessee area, mostly in Nashville or on our farm in Gallatin (about 30-40 minutes north of downtown Nashville). But I'm open to travel within a 100 mile radius at no cost to you, for the right project that will produce the most mutually beneficial results.

I also work in the medical field, and my hours are flexible. I do prefer evenings and weekends, but I'm available on other days as well. Just ask.
