I have been in and out of this field for the past 15 to 20 or more years struggling with the technology wars lol! It's true. All of us photographers work on tight budgets so it's easy to quit and start again when you feel comfortable with the moving target of current equipment. I like to stay some what portable working in my apt studio with a few backdrops and shoot through umbrella lighting aided by a kicker or side fill. My favorite subject is emotional portrait work where I attempt to capture emotions in facial and body expressions of men and women models. When you coax the look from the model and capture it...what can I say but it's very gratifying. I will never work as a full time professional but I am paid from time to time doing odd work, mostly struggling bands and models. It is extremely rewarding seeing your art when everything is said and done and even more rewarding when the the models you work with are equally impressed!
