Songwriter, Marketing Mogul, and CEO of Personal Notes Entertainment LLC, Laverne “Girly” Davis is what the entertainment industry refers to as a triple threat—because the lady has been blessed with beauty, talent and ambition.

The Queens native has over 15 years of combined experience in business management, creative development and fashion. As a versatile songwriter, her ingenuity not only provides aspiring singers, rappers and various entertainers with lyrics to their music, she also assists them with finding new ideas and creative concepts from all genres of music and fashion.

She says “The music determines the style of the song.” Being in the field of entertainment, has afforded the petit single mom the opportunity to spend a vast amount of time in and around clubs, celebrities, and major industry events.

As a result, Laverne began to notice that various ideas and concepts for songs that she shared with her friends coincidentally became major hit records for established artists; therefore prompting her to not just limit herself to writing songs, but also to pitch concepts and ideas to established artists as well as up and coming talent.

With her creativity of conceptualization of ideas, as a business woman, Laverne knew that she would be able to enhance and capitalize on this marketing empire—alas Personal Notes Entertainment, LLC was born!

In addition to her personable persona, Laverne has a natural wit that has always been found amusing and unique to others. She is always looking to invent or re-invent a cliché by saying it differently, and she is constantly creating new slogans and lingoes for any and everything.

Therefore, it is only fitting that her entertainment company vividly express this beloved characteristic of her. Always on her grind to help others and to strengthen her business ventures, Laverne plans on expanding her company to focus on advertising, branding, promotions, artist development and management, in Atlanta where aspiring entrepreneurs  will be able to enlist the services of her company to garner brand awareness for their business..

Prior to entrepreneurship, Laverne studied music and business at Baruch College, a prominent NYC business school. With this background, Laverne intends to write jingles for commercials and create major advertising campaigns.
