About Me

I've been a photographer for about 20 years now. I like to shoot at parks, waterways, train tracks, downtown, anywhere that can add something special to your shoot. I don't like stuffy sets. Sure I could add a colorful backdrop in my garage, and have a fairly decent studio, but that's not my thing. I like nature. I like real, robust, natural backgrounds. So, if your interested in adding too your portfolio, or just making some updates, hit me up! I'm friendly, easy going, easy to get along with, and humorous in an oddball kinda way. I welcome chaperones as long as they stay out of the way while we're shooting, or, if they would like to be in some shots too, that's always welcomed. I've seen some horrible chaperones in the past though who try to give direction and honestly they were upsetting the model more than me (I wasn't excited either).

Let me talk about TFCD/TFP vs Paid Shoots for a second. It seems to have gotten out of hand where all models are wanting to do paid shoots. It may surprise you, as a photographer who's bought 1000's of dollars of equipment, we'd all like to be paid too. But lets be honest, if we're doing portfolio work (for you, or for me), there's no income. I don't pay models to shoot, just as I don't ask to be paid either. We're working together as a TEAM, to collaborate and to improve, so that we can find paid work. Why should we be asking each other for money? Now, if there is an income, say some company wants to have us shoot for their business purposes, then we should both get paid, I agree with that. We both bring skill to the table, and we're making them money in the long run, so yes in that situation there should be some money changing hands. But if we're just getting together to work on either of our portfolios to further ourselves, not so much.

Also, I do shoot other things than just portfolios. If you are in need of photos taken for other special moments, weddings, senior pictures, birthdays, etc. I'm available for those as well. These are considered commissions and do have a fee, you also get signed rights to print whatever you want, and to use them however you want as well.

Hope to hear from you soon!
