I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors. Cycling, camping, hiking, fishing and probably my most favorite--laying in my hammock. Also, I love dogs!

My perspective on life is formed largely from my travels. I have met many people in this world who live in a completely different reality than you and I do. We often times create our own problems by making things complex but when we pull back on the desire of "more more more", we see the beauty and possibilities of simplicity.

I started working in the fashion industry at the age of 19. I was scouted by SK Models, a small modeling agency in Rock Island, Illinois. My agent Kay would talk to me about agencies like Ford and Wilhelmina but I didn't know what any of that meant. I found myself more interested in playing music so I gravitated towards that and spent many years touring as a drummer and guitarist.

Music eventually took me to Nashville where I was scouted again but this time by Next Models. I decided to give modeling another go and my career started taking off. I eventually signed with IMG Models and experienced a very prestigious side of the industry that my other agencies didn't have access to. I had a lot of fun and made some incredible memories but still I found myself interested in things other than modeling.

I first picked up a camera at the age of 26 and thought, wow this is pretty cool...but I never thought I would be where I'm at today..typing this story. Life is funny in that we never know what tomorrow will bring. Sometimes it's incredible news and other times it's tragic. I think the trick is learning how to keep the majority of things simple, balance everything else that's complex, stay self aware and grateful for each and every moment.
