My name is Derek Cooper.

I am a self-proclaimed hippie metal head with an eye for beauty and a heart made of cheese.
I started in the world of photography circa 2007 with the purchase of a DSLR.
I am completely self taught with the camera and photoshop. Though I have met a lot of talented and helpful folks along the way.
I enjoy photography primarily as a creative outlet. And my favorite compositions are generally beauty juxtaposed with raw grit and decay.
I enjoy photographing real, interesting people with an edge.

I currently live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada where it is gorgeous all summer and gorgeous and cold all winter. I always enjoy meeting new people so don't be shy if you want to do a photoshoot!
