Venezuelan designer and photographer, Mariana Martinis, credits her parents -both prominent architects- as being the key influencers in her profession. They taught her to love and appreciate shapes, colors, light, and most importantly, the essence of life. The years she spent surrounded by the arts encouraged her to take her first lessons in design and photography. What started as a hobby soon grew to be a passion when she discovered new techniques during her undergraduate studies. The knowledge acquired while studying to be a graphic designer opened Mariana up to new possibilities in photography.

Photography has always been at Mariana’s side. When working on design projects, Mariana took her own static photos to compliment her creations. Her passion for the arts expanded when she arrived in the United States. She began working for a video production company where she was in the field shooting social mixers and events. She acquired experience in capturing moments as they happen in real time.

More than 14 years have passed since Mariana first began working as a photographer and videographer. Each passing year contributed to Mariana’s growing experience, leading her to branch out and expand her range and forms of artistic expression.
