I picked up my father's Polaroid when I was about 5 years old. The moment the white square framed film ejected the body, I was hooked. Showing the world my point of view through each developed treasure was intoxicating. Though I continued tampering with my parents' various cameras growing up I didn't have a lens of my own until early adulthood; the Nikon D40.

With this majestic tool in hand I captured still life and landscapes, my children's play dates and birthday parties. Growing my love for photography with each flash, but still there was something lacking. This creative outlet needed something more. I needed to find a subject that was imperfectly perfect.

I found what I was looking for in boudoir/nude & lifestyle photography. As human beings we are most vulnerable when we are exposed to the elements. It is in these moments, I believe, we are most honest - raw.

My photos sets are themed. I enjoy the flow of a session, the story that it tells. Each session is primarily black and white. The photos are candid; I refrain from posed photos as often as possible to create a more natural view of the body.

Being from, and still living in, the midwest it is difficult to connect with like-minded artists. Through Model Mayhem, I am able to gain exposure and the ability to work with models/photographers I wouldn't have had the chance to otherwise.
