Okay now what's my back story..

So what had happen was...I attended East Carolina University (2006-2009) and studied film production and communications. I joined the Army to help pay for college but little did I realize that would be the start of my film career (for 15 years). During my time, I found my true passion which was telling the Army’s story threw filmmaking and photography.

Toward the end of my career, I reached a milestone and became the Senior Videography of the North Carolina National Guard (2016 - 2021).

During my career I produced over 120 videos and thousands of images which have been used by the following media sources: Country Music Television, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Department of Defense, the Business Insider and media outlets: (NBC, ABC, CNN, Fox News).  During 2020 I lead public affairs field operations on the state’s COVID-19 Response Mission and my footage was seen on CNN and MSNBC. I received numerous awards including first place winner of the 2019 media awards competition for the National Guard Bureau Office of Public Affairs for short-form video category. During my time I was able to interview two Governors, (Roy Cooper and Pat McCory), (was i nervous as hell....hell yeah) I was also able to work with the FBI and CIA (which was obviously cool as shit), as well as work in Europe with the Ukrainians (which was humbling to say the least).

I just got out of the Army last year and now I finally have the opportunity and time to focus on my love of fashion photography! and nature photography!  I specialize in B & W photography, vintage (really big into the 1920’s – 1940’s era) and (1980’s future look), boudoir, editorial, special effects and images that incorporate Mother Nature.  My real passion is creating visual concepts and ideas and working with a model like a team for a vision to come together. I like building sets, interesting locations, and creating images that tell stories because it reminds me of filmmaking.

Once again, the biggest thing I want to work on right now is creating content for my invention and business, Daniel Perri.  If you like beach shoots, nature shoots, city scape editorial shoots, and things of this nature we can setup a shoot incorporating my hat accessories. Currently my main locations i'd like to shoot is Wilmington and Raleigh but eventually will head to Charlotte and more.  Of course, each model will get her on choice of Daniel Perri products to keep.

Memory Lane: Here is my first music video I made over 12 years ago with the most ghetto equipment ever.  This was with my first camera I worked all summer that year to buy, I used duck-tape to hold up the lights, a regular house fan to have the talents hair blowing, car headlights to light the outdoor scenes, a ladder, I think at some point I used chewing gum to hold something up (joke) the microphone he is holding isn't even plugged up to anything just needed it as a prop lol but anyway this was a long time ago and I had such a blast. It's a cover song and my friend is "singing" this was my first "big" project so it made it's way onto my about me.  This is still by far one of my most fun I've had on set because it was at a house party and no one even knew what I was doing I just randomly made a music video for no reason.  I asked my friend like "hey can I make a music video here" lol he said sure so I ran home and got my camera lol.
