"From the first email with Dirk, the first impressions, then as we scouted together for the best locations for the Mainhatten skyline shoot, as we shared our stories and planned more details, as we found out we like the same books and TV series, there were countless moments when I paused for a while and realized how lucky I am to have a chance of working with such passionate, enthusiastic, positive, open-minded, empathic, understanding and appreciative people like Dirk. On the day of the shoot it turned out that no matter how well you organize everything, external things that are not within your control can (and will) go sideways, but by that time you've built mutual respect, and together you push through and make the best out of it. So, in contrast to what we planned, we were short on space, we were short on natural light, but it was this foundation or connection we've built over the weeks before the shoot, that got us joking, breaking glasses, improvising and getting the best out of the situation.
