As someone with no experience in the modelling world, it is indeed a bold step to put myself out there with faith that somebody will ring me up for a photoshoot but as the saying goes, 'you have to start somewhere.'

I've always been enviously enchanted whenever I see models or celebrities on the covers of magazines, particularly Vogue, and I've always loved how the photographer managed to capture the beauty in every individual within the pages. They look so confident, all of them, and it's a value I strive to have.

I would never dreamed that I would ever be printed on the cover or in the pages of one until a simple and spontaneous photoshoot happened about a year ago with one of my friends who is really into photography. It was during a school trip to Cambodia on a late afternoon, just before dinner, when my group of friends decided to take a walk outside the hotel.

I don't know if it's the way the sunlight was hitting my face that day or the type of canon lens my friend was using but something about the photo he snapped gave me a tiny smidge of confidence. When I glanced at the camera screen to see one of the shots, I remember thinking at the back of my mind 'hold on, maybe this could work..'
