After successfully completing the Hiking Triple Crown (The Appalachian Trail 3 times 2007,2011 & 2017 , The Pacific Crest Trail 2012 and The brutality of the 3000 mile Continental Divide Trail 2013 ) Boston Based Photographer Craig William Johnston rediscovered his love for photography from when he had shot and developed his own 35mm film back in his early 20's. With the encouragement of an old friend after shooting some photos at the 2014 Newport Folk Festival , Craig started shooting his own brand of artistic emotion -driven portraiture. After just 11 months behind the camera He found himself in NYC shooting former Interpol bassist the notoriously famous " Reformed Rock Star " turned Actor Carlos D ( Carlos Dengler ) Who described his work as "profoundly human and intimate" Since then Craig has gone on to photograph portraits of the 80's British rock and new wave heros The Fixx, Lo-Fi Anti Folk Musician and one half of The Moldy Peaches Adam Green, Portland Punk Rocker Hutch Harris The Thermals, Indie Musician Sam Coomes ( Heatmiser , Elliott Smith and Quasi ) Reality T.V Star of Naked and Afraid Ryan Holt , Jewish American reggae vocalist Matisyahu as well as many others.
