Karen Dang is a fashion designer born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri. She has been sketching clothing since she was nine and got her first sewing machine when she turned 13. She finds fashion as a way to express herself, not only through what she wears, but also in her designs. Designing is what she enjoys most. She loves seeing an idea come to life on the dress form or on a piece of paper. For her, inspiration comes from everything that she sees, because she finds beauty in all things.

Karen is a recent graduate of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco; with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design. She has attained skills of garment construction such as pattern making, draping, and sewing. Along with these skills she can also sketch and make technical flats both by hand and through Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Her aesthetic is feminine yet edgy, she like designs with impactful silhouettes and interesting details.

Karen plans on making her way to New York to work as a designer with major fashion companies. After she establishes herself in New York she have hopes to go to Europe and work with Parisian brands and explore living in a different country. She wants to eventually launch her own line and have boutiques around the world.
