I teach sociology at LSU. I have been researching community recovery from Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and am making photo essays of neighborhoods and social groups. I have an art background and have some experience in photography. I will generally seek models to practice photographic technique, especially lighting.

There will be no nudity or anything in that direction.

In most cases, I'll be happy to give you copies of the photos from a shoot at no charge (at least the ones where the focus & lighting are okay!).
