Hey, I am Nigel and I am a fashion & portrait photographer based in Berkeley. I joined Model Mayhem as I am interested in improving my portfolio and creating a slew of collaborative relationships with models, make up artists, set designers, stylists, and other creatives.

My primary influences stem from Richard Avedon & Irving Penn. I also intensely study classical painting to foster ideas for my work.

I am looking to experiment more in the studio and am moving towards shooting more with flash outdoors as opposed to only natural light. I spend a lot of time on my pre-production and I particularly enjoy collaboration and input from my team to make photographs that make all of our skills shine.

I have been photographing for ten years, with the last six years primarily focused on fashion and portraiture. My fashion experience lies in smaller test shoots for agencies & minor campaigns. I am looking to my use of model mayhem to further strengthen my portfolio and move myself into a higher echelon of commercial work.
