My name is Tabitha and I was born and raised in beautiful Wellington, NZ. I moved to Melbourne, Aus in 2010 and have stayed here and have been loving my time here since then.
I am self-taught and I work on my photography as a way to distract myself from other things going on in my life.
Everybody has battles and one of mine is my Chronic Autoimmune disease/s. With a body which has decided to turn on itself and which would rather fight itself than the bad stuff , it can be difficult to get out and shoot on days when I want too and being confined to bed or a chair on bad days can be depressing at times. But I do get up and I do it, and I love it!
Getting sick has taught me to be patient (good for bird watching) as I have had to learn to be patient with myself and learn what my limitations are (I am still stubborn though don't get me wrong). It has also taught me that I have to find things that I can do that calm me and help me to de-stress. Having my camera in my hand or planning my shoots does help me when I need to refocus. Which is fantastic.

I plan to keep on going with my photography, keep on shooting, keep practicing, keep working on my ideas and I hope to start working and collaborating with models who have illnesses/disabilities and help to give them a voice and a way to express themselves just as I am using my photography to express myself.

I have a page on fb and a website and I shoot under the name Aroha Creations Photography, Aroha being a Maori word meaning ‘Love’. I chose this name as I love to create and love do things which are different and out of the ordinary.
I have worked with babies, children, young people and adults in different situations and have done a variety of shoots (please see my fb page)
