Friends (13)About Me
I suppose this is where I tell you a little bit about me, how awesome I am, and why you want to have me take your picture.
The truth is that I'm only a little bit awesome, a lot bit nerdy, and too goofy for my own good - but that makes capturing your most intimate self more fun, easy, and relaxing. So you can be you. And I'll just be me. I was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area with my little brother, my awesome parents, and a odd variety of family pets. My little brother was the sports star but I was always drawn to art, loading myself up on ceramics and photography classes. Once I started taking pictures and developing my own film (in the dark room at Tampa Prep) I instantly fell in love with the ability to capture a moment (or an idea) from my camera. I like the challenge of having to constantly try and improve in all parts of my life (I'm always trying to increase my awesomeness to balance out all that nerdiness) and I also like the challenge of creating awesome pictures using out of the ordinary cameras. Unless I am doing a paid session, I prefer to shoot most of my personal work with my iPhone and a good majority of the pictures on this site were taken and edited using only my phone. I gave up film a while ago (due to costs) although I still do some work with Polaroids, most of it is experimental. Food is a strong highlight throughout most of my work. In 2011 I started taking pictures of the food that I was making and it eventually became a thing and now I'm trying to run a farm-to-food blog called ( Holly Posts ) in my down time. Cooking is a huge part of my life. I love to spend my days off in my kitchen - cooking new things, writing down recipes, or taking pictures and recording videos of what I make. I've been doing it for so long now, that I've become very skilled in food styling, prop/set design, and the like. I also am developing guided plans for eating healthier, reducing food waste, and living more eco-friendly. I'd love for you to check it out some time. I started doing portraits (and subsequently engagements) after a friend of mine asked me to take their portrait. I realized how much much fun it was to do, and I quickly became hooked. I'm so fascinated by the interactions that are required to capture a great portrait. It's intimate, personal, and a great challenge to get someone out of their comfort zone. If you are interested in learning more about me, then feel free to keep scrolling down. Otherwise, I'd love for you to contact me so we can start planning our adventure.
