ITALIAN - Sono un artista, ma anche autore di testi teatrali. Per ciò che riguarda la fotografia ho sviluppato negli anni una ricerca che mi ha portato a forme narrative, fra letteratura, cinema e teatro, che io chiamo “teatro fotografico” (definizione presa in prestito dal fotografo giapponese Eikoh Hosoe), che si sviluppano come un testo, una sequenza cinematografica o una rappresentazione teatrale. Il più delle volte supportati da vere e proprie sceneggiature, alcune delle quali scritte anche per essere trasferite su di un palcoscenico. Fra gli argomenti a cui mi sono ispirato: The Waste Land di Eliot, alcune poesie di Baudelaire, Antonin Artaud, i disegni del Pontormo, il teatro di Sara Kane, il Libro del Deserto di Ingeborg Bachmann, cui vanno aggiunte opere del tutto originali.
Ma alla base dei miei lavori, in maniera più o meno evidente, c’è sempre stato un discorso sul corpo, sulla sua materialità ed espressività, che l’incontro con la danza Butoh (Eikoh Hosoe > Kamaitachi > Hijikata, e poi Kazuo Ono, Ikeda Carlotta, Eikoh & Koma, e altri) mi ha spinto a portare in primo piano. Con l’intenzione di andare oltre il linguaggio fotografico, per arrivare alla performance, avendo il Butoh e la ricerca sul corpo come riferimento. Senza però rinunciare ad esprimermi anche attraverso la fotografia, per cercare invece un punto d'incontro fra due forme artistiche che ritengo assai vicine. Nella fotografia il linguaggio del corpo sostituisce il silenzio dell’immagine ed anche la sua immobilità. Nella performance, soprattutto nella danza performativa, come il Butoh, o anche nel Teatro-danza, è ancora il corpo a dar voce al silenzio. Per cui ritengo che esse, fotografia e performance, possano procedere insieme, attraverso un continuo confronto e scambio.
Mi interessano pertanto persone capaci di interpretare lavori in cui l’espressività del corpo e del volto è parte essenziale, dando quindi la preferenza a danzatrici o attrici, senza però escludere chi, pur non facendo parte di quelle categorie, sia in grado di offrire un buon apporto sul piano dell’espressività, soprattutto corporea, ed anche di collaborazione attiva nel momento di interpretare i lavori.
È richiesta la disponibilità per il nudo artistico, mai volgare o esplicitamente erotico.
Dato il tipo di lavoro, non posso servirmi della collaborazione di persone con tatuaggi troppo evidenti.
Per ogni lavoro quasi sempre occorrono almeno due sessioni, e di regola quando trovo un interprete con cui entro in sintonia, la collaborazione prosegue nel tempo. A volte è prevista la partecipazione di più di un interprete. Per questi motivi non posso offrire grossi compensi, ma ritengo giusto retribuire sempre ogni prestazione lavorativa.
Nelle 15 foto esposte ho cercato di dare un'idea generale circa il mio lavoro. Poiché però esso si sviluppa in sequenze fotografiche un'idea precisa sarà possibile averla soltanto vedendo i lavori nel loro insieme, che sarò felice di mostrare a chiunque sarà interessato.

ENGLISH - This is the translation of the greatest part of my presentation from italian. Perhaps it won't be all exact, but I think it is enough correct so that you can understand it.
«ABOUT ME: I am an artist, but also writer. For which regard to the photography I have carry out during the years a research that have led me to narrative forms, that develop like a literary text, a cinema sequence, a theatrical representation, that I call "photographic theater”. But the base of my photographic works has always been the body, its materiality and expressiveness, and my meeting with the Butoh dance (Hijikata, Kazuo Ono, Ikeda Carlotta, Eikoh & Koma, ed others) has motivated me to bring it in the foreground, with the intention to go over the photographic language, to get to performance, having the Butoh and the search on the body as reference. Without however to give up expressing myself also by photography, looking for a common ground among two artistic forms that I consider very close. In the photography the language of the body replaces the silence of the image and also its immobility. In the performance, especially in the dance performativa as the Butoh, or also in the Theater-dance, it is still the body to give voice to the silence. For which I believe that photography and performance, can proceed together, through a continuous comparison and exchange. Therefore I am interested in people able to interpret works in which the expressiveness of the body and the face is essential. Therefore I give the preference to dancers or actresses, without however to exclude who, without belonging to those categories, it is able to offer a good contribution of body language, and also an active collaboration in playing the photographic works.
Please noted that my works often require nudity, never vulgar or expressly erotic.
In consideration of the kind of works, I can’t use the collaboration of people with evident tattoos.
For many works at least two sessions are needed, and some can ask for the share of two or more interpreters. For this reason I can’t offer hight remunerations, but every performance will be paid. Very often when I connect with an interpreter, the collaboration continues in the time.»
