I am an internationally exhibited portrait photographer whose work explores the boundless possibilities of the photographic encounter, themes of national identity, social structures and unusual environments. I am fascinated with the photographic process and finding ways to enhance meaning and intention with technique and craft.

I was the youngest person to have sold a series of work to the Scottish National Portrait Gallery (the series 'Keeping Faith') and has exhibited in Japan, Australia the United States and the UK. I recently exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery, London as part of the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize, 2013.

I have also taught at Edinburgh College of Art, The National Galleries of Scotland, Stills Gallery, Napier University, Edinburgh Academy, Photofusion, Edinburgh College (formerly Stevenson College Edinburgh) and South Essex College.
