Adrian Alvarez (Madrid, 1992) is a freelance journalist and photographer, based in London. Currently studying the MA Photojournalism and Documentary Photography in the University of the Arts London.

I had my first camera, a Minolta, when I was nine, but it was in 2012 when I really became interested in photography. That turning point came when I first read Robert Capa’s words: “If your pictures are not good enough it’s because you’re not close enough.” That changed my way of facing the camera and understanding photography.

I put face and soul to the facts, writing with passion and photographing people that star those facts. For me, journalism is about giving voice to the voiceless, to the invisibles, to the forgotten. I write about humanitarian crises, wars, immigration and social injustice; and I hope to be able to photograph them in the near future.

Regarding fashion and "beauty" photography, I love to work with models inside and outside the studio. Currently working in a boudoir project called "The Keyhole" and looking for new models to join me in this adventure.
