I've been primarily a sports photographer for several years; I've shot pro football, semi-pro football, soccer and many other sports for years. I was approached about 5 years ago by some of the guys on the sidelines at games about doing other projects; workout/fitness type shoots, couple shoots, etc. since most of the guys were either personal trainers, bodybuilders or other athletes. I hadn't given a lot of thought to portrait shoots at that point to be honest. But I decided to set up studio space and network with other portrait/fashion photographers as well as experienced and aspiring models.

Fast forward 5 years; still shooting lots of sports but have also set up studio space here in San Antonio and have done a few hundreds studio shoots, gym shoots, outdoor location shoots; love to do beach shoots and other fun locations.

I've done quite a few (hundreds) of photoshoots as time donation/no charge on my part; TF shoots (time for edited shots). In other words I don't charge a studio rate and we all just donate time to get in a fun shoot and everyone gets some edited studio shots. A win-win. I worked shoots this way in particular when I was just starting studio work.

I'm still doing a LIMITED number of shoots that way. There is a lot of time and work involved in doing shoots. In particular the location shoots; gyms and other locations. Lights to set up, time shooting, time doing edits, etc. So I usually do a TF shoot by invite. In other words if I contact you here on MM or elsewhere and offer to do a shoot that way, not a problem. It's probably because you have a style or look that I'd like to add to the portfolio. But please do NOT assume I do all shoots that way. And yes, I occasionally will offer a paying shoot meaning an hourly rate paid to the model. But in all honesty, you'd really have to have a great look and style. And primarily that would be for artistic and tastefully done nude shots or implied nude shots.

I'm a very laid back, easy-going guy who started doing the portrait shoots to meet up with fun, interesting people and get in some fun shoots. Still the main goal now. If you're looking to do a fun shoot; basic portfolio shots; head shots, fashion/editorial, a fitness/workout shoot, maybe a couple shoot or other concept, feel free to hit me up and we'll see what we can do. I can do mild to wild and everything in between.

MOST sessions have been a great experience. Unfortunately there are those who DON'T conduct themselves in a professional manner; no show/no call regarding a shoot. When there's as much time and effort on our part to plan, set up the studio or pack gear for a location shoot, we expect people to show up!! Or at the very least to contact us to cancel and to reschedule if they need to. But there are a few people who don't have the respect they should for their photographer; in particular when the shoot is being done as a time donation/no charge on our part. So far here's a list of people here on the MM site WE WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND DOING A SHOOT FOR.

Although we've done shoots for hundreds of models over the last 4 years or so, we haven't been on the MM site all that long; at least not the 3 of us together as collaborating photographers under one studio name. So we're starting a new list of credits for people who we've worked with since the 3 of us; Sara, Mark and myself joined up and starting working together here on MM last week.
