Hello Model Mayhem world!

My name is Eric Formato, and I am the founder of Formatografia (my last name + the word for photography in Italian- fotografia . I am a Chicago born and based artist that specializes in photography, media production, events, fine art, and art consulting.

I hope you enjoy my work! My photography is as dynamic as I am, I do not consider myself a photographer of only one specific genre, I'm open to it all! I began shooting cities a long time ago, and then over time started to shoot people in those cities, and subsequently started to appreciate the human element. With people, I love capturing emotion, and also capturing candid moments that express people's ethos. I enjoy shooting with models in all different settings, there's a time and place for everything.

I wish to work with people who are serious about modeling or art, have a unique look, and are open to shooting in unconventional ways. I'm a very nice and open person, I like to make models feel comfortable by introducing myself and getting to know them for a little while. I enjoy having a natural flow to our shoot, and can direct the shoot or either step back and capture the model in their element.


If I were to describe my photography with one word, or even myself for that matter, it would be vibrant. I like to capture things and take them to new levels, and through that, help viewers to See Their World in a New Way.
