I am no stranger to photography. I was around eight or nine years old when I took my first snapshot with an old Polaroid Camera. I remember pulling the negative from the front of the camera and waiting twice the recommended time for it to develop. I remember the nervous anticipation I felt as I pulled the paper back to reveal my first picture. I was totally amazed. I had captured a moment in time. I was hooked. Shortly after joining the military at age eighteen, I acquired my first DSLR. Please don't tell my wife but I think that DSLR was my first love. Needless to say, I have a rather extensive portfolio. However, I am lacking in the areas of fashion and art nude. It is my desire to join Model Mayhem in an attempt to expand my portfolio and acquire expertise in the aforementioned facets of photography. If I may, I would like to share a secret. Photography has never been my career or even a part-time job. But, it has been a very expensive life-long hobby. Finally, after a long successful career, I retired. For the first time in my life, I have a lot of time on my hands. Soooo...why not pursue my passion.
