I like modeling because it allows me to visit parts of myself that real life doesn't always enjoy. I rarely escape living in my yoga pants as I am a single mom supporting myself and my son via teaching Pilates, yoga, and spin. Modeling allows me to morph into roles I believe true in myself, but rarely get to enjoy. It also celebrates the hard work I have invested in many hours of teaching, by capturing the beauty of the human form, and the art of fitness, movement. As a Pilates instructor, and yoga instructor, I can appreciate the fine subtleties of holding a pose, and perfecting such. I also love the escape, of getting so moody, a life of it's own transcends, and art really happen. I've always wanted to model, but raised in a conservative religion I had little support, and even felt shame for wanting to draw any attention to myself. I've outgrown those notions believing there is power embracing who you are, being present with it, even if it not fit the definitions of beliefs you cherish. I like modeling because I feel freedom in it. And in that freedom, I believe I have something very wonderful to share. Me, in every expression that can possibly take.
